The Ranch
At the heart of PRR is the ranch, a sanctuary where the restorative power of nature supports the process of healing and recovery. Situated on 121 acres in the Texas Hill Country, the ranch holds a wildlife exemption that preserves its natural environment and allows clients to fully experience its tranquility and beauty. Some of the property’s oak trees have stood for centuries, witnessing the passage of buffalo herds, Native American tribes, open grasslands, and working cattle ranches. Today, this land thrives as a protected wildlife preserve, offering a setting that encourages reflection, balance, and inner peace.
The main residence, designed and constructed in 2018 to replace the original ranch house, serves as both the center of our treatment center and the home for our clients. The facility features spacious guest rooms with private bathrooms and a comfortable shared living area designed to promote relaxation and connection.
Clients at PRR enjoy home-cooked meals, a peaceful meditation garden, scenic walking trails, and frequent sightings of the area’s abundant wildlife.
With a maximum of 12 residents and an exceptional staff-to-client ratio, clients receive highly individualized care that honors each person’s unique background, goals, and path to recovery. The timeless setting and natural energy found at the ranch foster an environment where true transformation can occur—supporting lasting recovery from addiction to alcohol and other mood- or mind-altering substances.

This is a wonderful place to work on one’s sobriety journey. The serene location, the staff, and the experience were all more than what I thought I wanted, but it was exactly what I needed. Drinking coffee in the morning and watching the wildlife thrive helped with finding my inner peace. I’m grateful for the counselors, every conversation I had, every quiet morning, every meeting, meal and opportunity to be present and work on growing.
This was a wonderful experience and I will be forever grateful to this place. ❤️ -

Nestled in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, I couldn’t think of a better place to rediscover my recovery than Personal Responsible Recovery. The staff, most of whom are in recovery, take a deeply personal interest in your successful recovery journey. The curriculum is designed to maximize your receiving the necessary tools and their application in a professional manner so as not to lose your dignity. The staff to client ratio, off campus events, recreational opportunities, housing and the food service is amazing. I speak from experience when I say, if you are looking for a tremendous return on your investment…your life, then I highly recommend Personal Responsible Recovery! Hopefully you will add your name to Wall of Fame, as I did, upon successfully completing the program!

This is a WONDERFUL program of recovery, community, and family. My daughter completed a 28 day stay and her sunshine has returned. Her eyes and her mind are clear, and she was given a great foundation for starting life over. The staff members are professional, compassionate, and kind. Not to mention an absolutely beautiful ranch and facility. We visited weekly for family day, met with her counselor and was involved in setting her up for success. She worked a 12 Step program, and was guided down a path of reflection and inspiration in finding happiness and true potential. Marc and his team have been amazing and cannot thank them enough!

Personal Responsibility Recovery is a fantastic treatment facility. I should know, it was the last one that I attended out of 22 other facilities over the past 14 years. Mark Meyers works incredibly hard to ensure that his clients are comfortable, and have everything that they need to be able to focus on themselves, and their problem. The entire treatment team was extraordinary. If you’re looking for a place to go to truly recover, and to get down to the root causes of alcoholism/addiction, then this is the place you need to go. Even if in the back of your mind you’re thinking rinse, wash, and repeat.. I bet by the end of your stay, that your feelings and attitude towards recovery completely change, for the better. I’ll never forget the ranch. It’s where I got the start to my second chance at life. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking treatment.
